At one point, this boot was the most sold in the world. I'm not sure if that is still true, but I can see why it is so popular. This boot offered all the basics at a reasonable price. The responsiveness was everything I needed for standard groomers. I tested the flex in the park and was underwhelmed, but they still did it alright. This boot really is the epitome of a "jack of all trades, master of none" type of boot. Perfect for beginner to intermediate riders who just want a solid boot that can handle a little bit of everything. All-mountain explorers can take this boot almost anywhere without facing any serious challenges. It was supportive and responsive on the steeps, decently flexible in the park, and had excellent grip for those icy parking lot conditions. I would recommend breaking these in as much as possible before taking them to the hill. My feet were pretty sore after a moderately active day on the slopes. Next time, I will be sure to really pack out the insoles and maybe switch to a sock with more padding on the soles of the foot.
- All-mountain riding. Really solid responsiveness on intermediate and expert groomers.
- Quick lace up/unlace
- Great sole traction on snow, pavement, and board
- Not the most comfortable boot. My feet were a bit sore after waiting in lift lines and digging in for long durations on catwalks.
- These boots are slightly heavier than I would prefer. Not worth worrying about for a beginner/intermediate rider.
- BOA lace system is convenient but easy to break if not looked after/stored properly.
We designed the Maysis to perform like a workhorse and fit like a glove, and its feature-forward design has it ranked as a perennial bestseller. Our Maysis Wide snowboard boot features a last and a shell that are 7mm wider than a traditional snowboard boot.
It’s success starts with a heat-moldable liner, made of open-cell Intuition® foam - allowing the liner to form to the exact shape of your leg, ankle, and foot for superior fit, warmth, and comfort. The secret to the award-winning fit is our Conda™ liner lacing system. Powered by a BOA® Fit System dial, this forgiving and adjustable harness is designed to pull the user's heel into the boot's heel pocket. This urethane-based harness hugs your ankle and flexes naturally.
Externally, we started with an articulating cuff to reduce distortion when bending the knee, and we've added an abrasion-resistant rubber compound for unrelenting durability. A high-powered BOA® Fit System H4 Coiler closes the shell securely and can be done without ever removing your gloves.
Lastly, to add durability and maintain the boot's flex over the boot's lifetime, we constructed the K2 Maysis using our Endo™ technology. Underfoot, we've used premium materials to improve damping and grip. The outsole is built using our proprietary This Grips!™ dual-rubber compound to provide excellent grip both on and off the snow. This is all set atop a dual-density midsole comprised of a lightweight EVA and our proprietary Harshmellow™, designed to dampen vibration on rough terrain and cushion big landings.
