The Rossignol Speed 80 HV+ are a great entry-level boot for skiers wanting a pair of ski boots with an emphasis on comfort, and at an affordable price. Rossignol definitely designed these with comfort in mind; they used a softer plastic around the instep of the boot, so they are much easier to get in and out of, and the extra relaxed fit in the toe box means there is no chance my toes will get pinched. With a softer 80 flex, the Speed is definitely built for brand new skiers who don't need an overly stiff boot, or simply skiers prioritizing comfort; that flex is much too soft for intermediate to expert skiers. And the extra wide toe box will be too much volume for skiers with more narrow feet. But for new skiers wanting a comfortable boot at a solid price, the Speed 80 is hard to beat.
