This kettle put fellow on the map, and for good reason. It does everything that most nice kettles do, which is mainly heating water to a specific temperature, but you can feel the intentionality behind the design of this product. You have one control, the knob, which intuitively lets you control the exact temperature that you want your water at as well as being an on/off switch. The handle has a nice spot for your thumb. The base is nice to look at and well built. The flow rate out of the spout is nice and slow, but not too slow. It’s shaped nicely. It is just a joy to use.
Apparently there’s a handful of features as well, but I would never use them and don‘t feel that I need to. It’s also a bit o n the expensive end, and it’s a bummer that the wooden accents cost $30 extra, but when you have it, you realize that you don’t mind that you’ve spent a little extra a high end, expensive kettle. Because it is just that enjoyable to have and to use.
