Why I recommend these
Expert verdict
The Shadow is Lange's next evolution in ski boot performance, utilizing a Dual Pivot system that uses that most ancient of human inventions to create more power through the boot: leverage. The design creates mechanical advantage in the spine, allowing the boot to transfer more power to the ski with less input from the skier. The result is a boot that I can drive all day without overwhelming my legs. While it boasts a 120 flex, the Dual Pivot system allows for a much easier ride than all other similarly flexed boots. I love how they amplify my input, making skiing feel effortless yet powerful. The 120 flex is perfect for stouter, stiffer skis, and the 100mm width ensures a snug fit without compromising comfort. While these are a bit too stiff for beginners or lighter intermediates, seasoned skiers will appreciate how efficiently and effortlessly they can drive a stiffer ski. If you're looking to ski longer and harder without your legs turning to jelly by lunchtime, these boots are a must-try!

More power and more control with less energy. The Lange Shadow 120 MV ski boots bring a new level of power transfer, vibration absorption and comfort to all-mountain skiing. Our Assisted Performance System amplifies your input to the boot through the mechanical advantage of our Dual Pivot and Suspension Blade technology. The design boosts input by up to 26%, giving you more power and control with less energy. Like a full suspension bike, the combination lets you ski longer and more efficiently. Together with a 120-rated flex, this boot gives advanced and expert skiers a strong platform for ripping across the whole mountain. At 100mm wide, our medium-volume last complements the thermoformable liner to offer all-day comfort.
